Shawnee Mission Northwest Interact Club and Woodland Charity invite you to participate in the International Volunteer Trips to Panama, July 9 to 15, 2017.
 
An informational meeting will take place in the SMNW Cafeteria at 7pm on Mon. Dec. 12th.
  • Volunteers will unify efforts with local leaders and families of Panama to implement the Access to Education, Health and Safe Drinking Water Program.
  • The cost for 7 days (1 week) is $825 to Panama per person. (includes in-country expenses: meals, lodging, ground transportation, translators, program administration expenses and evacuation insurance)
  • Bi-lingual volunteers are encouraged to participate.
  • Trip activities include:
    • Installing water filters, cooking stoves, beds, and latrines.
    • Medical and dental checkups. Nutrition training.
    • Volunteer work at the community farm/garden
    • Sewing machine training, English/computer classes and other activities at the school or in the community.
  • Volunteers are responsible for purchasing their own roundtrip airplane ticket from the U.S. to Panama.
