Have you turned in your beer can full of money to Fred Spears? Sergeant-At-Arms, Fred Spears, has started passing out beer cans to all members. We have done this the past several years to raise money for a certain cause -- this year's cause to be determined. In the past we have used the money toward a meal packing project "Rise Against Hunger" and also for Anti Human Trafficking. What to do: Drink the beer (or have a friend or relative drink it for you or use it to cook Beer Can Chicken) Wash the can out (and let it dry) Stuff it full of change - dimes or quarters usually amount to about $75 If you are coinless, we take cash. If you are cashless, we take checks If you have neither coins or cash, get a job. Return the can to Fred with your name either in or on it. Fred will give you another can when you return the first either as a thank you or as a plea for more money. We will conclude this event on September 29, 2023 Typically about 20 in the club participate. |
