Our speaker this Friday will be Betty Jo Simon, Accordionist.

Betty Jo Simon brings endless enthusiasm to the stage for any occasion. A vivacious performer who enjoys intimate concert settings where she can talk with her audience, Betty Jo has a wide repertoire from which to choose. Her favorite? "Around the World with the MIDI Accordion."

She enjoys performing classical music the most, but she loves the schmaltzy stuff too and still likes to play as a strolling musician.

Lenexa Rotary Foundation Board will have it's Quarterly Meeting next week. All members are welcome to attend.

If you will be ordering food, please arrive at 11:30 a.m. The meeting will begin at Noon.

HopeBuilders Build - November 22nd

8:30 am - completion

For those of you new to the club, every year we work with HopeBuilders to build a wheelchair ramp to enable a handicapped person to stay in their home. We will team up with Shawnee Rotary and the Shawnee Mission Northwest Interact on this project.

This requires no special skills or tools on your part. No experience needed. We work from 8:30 until completion. You are welcome to come if you can only work part of the day. Your spouses, children and grandchildren are welcome to participate- no experience necessary! They must be at least 16 years of age. Lenexa Rotary Foundation contributes $1000 towards the cost of materials for the project.

The location of the project is yet to be identified by HopeBUILDERS, but will be announced closer to the project date.
