ShrimpFest and Bingo - March 4, 2017
Our annual fundraiser for the Lenexa Rotary Foundation. Pete Black has your tickets. Each club member needs to sell 10 tickets or provide a check for $250, payable to Lenexa Rotary Club. Location: Lenexa Community Center. Doors open at 5:30pm.
District 5710 Conference - May 5-6, 2017 (Friday & Saturday)
PLAN ON ATTENDING! This LOCAL conference will be a fun and unique opportunity to spend time with fellow Rotarians in our district. It will be held in Overland Park. Details to follow.
Friday's meeting is your LAST CHANCE to bring winter coats. The collected coats will be donated to the Johnson County Christmas Bureau. Greg Peterson (who has been collecting the coats) will not be at our meeting this week, so give your coats to JC Burcham. As of Wednesday morning, our club has collected 77 coats!
We are in the process of raising money for our Stop Hunger Now event on Nov. 29th. During that event, we will package as many meals as our fundraising efforts can buy, and the meals will be delivered to people in need around the world. To support this effort, please empty the beer can that Fred Spears gave you, put your spare change in it, and return it to Fred.
On Sat. Oct 22, Rotarians and friends from Overland Park, Leawood, Olathe, Gardner, Shawnee and Lenexa completed a service project that involved painting a US map on the playground of Ridgeview Elementry School. This event was organized by RINC, the Rotary-Inspired Networking Community.
