If you are not yet on a committee, please reach out to a committee chair.  Additionally, we will need EVERYONE there the night of the event to help.

Tickets:  Tickets were distributed to members last Friday.  If you haven't gotten your tickets, please contact Tedd Maxfield or he will find you.  Each Rotarian is required to purchase/sell 10 tickets @ $30 each for a total of $300. There is a prize given to the member who sells the most tickets. Please turn in your ticket money to Tedd weekly so that we can deposit it into our account to pay for food/supplies for the event.

There are sponsor brochures available at the Check-In Table.  Included as one of the sponsor categories is a "Family Sponsor" for $100.  The cost is $100 PLUS the cost of the ticket for each family member at home or two couples.  It also includes a 5:00 early entry ticket.

Food Service:  We will also need additional people to work the food service line.  We will have 3 lines and need 5 people for each line.  To sign-up, please contact Erik Troy.  Family members and friends are also encouraged to help.

Room set-up:  Table & Chairs.  We have a new company supplying the tables and chairs, however, we will need to have people at the Lenexa Community Center on the afternoon of the event helping to set up tables and chairs and we will need to break down the tables and chairs at the end of the night.  The more people we have the faster it will get done.  Please see Steve Nettles

Silent Auction Items:
We need your donations!  The deadline for Items is Wednesday, 3/1.  We have 27 days left to collect your donations and those you enable from local businesses.  Donating has never been either with these options:
  1. Bring items to our Club meetings prior to the deadline (February 3, 10, 17, 24).
  2. Drop your items by River’s house at 8441 Pflumm Circle in Heritage Forest.

RYLA - June 4-8

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA)

University of Kansas, Lawrence
June 4-8, 2023

There are several past participants of this program that stated their experience was life-changing and made them more aware of their capabilities. It is common to see a student become emotional when talking about their experience with RYLA. For many students, this is their first exposure to Rotary and what we, as Rotarians, can accomplish. The projects and exercises in this five-day camp are designed to get the students to think differently about certain situations and develop their own solutions with fellow students they may have not met before attending the camp. Many students worldwide, who have attended RYLA, have continued on to become members of an Interact, Rotaract, and eventually a Rotary club.

The University of Kansas in Lawrence will once again host District 5710's Rotary Youth Leadership Academy (RYLA).

AmazonSmile to discontinue donations
In 2013, Amazon launched AmazonSmile to make it easier for customers to support their favorite charities. We were excited about the potential for the program and the impact it could have for many charitable organizations. We want to thank you for your partnership during all these years.

After almost a decade of running AmazonSmile, we learned that with so many eligible organizations—more than 1 million globally—our ability to have an impact was often spread too thin.

We are writing to let you know that we have made plans to wind down AmazonSmile by February 20, 2023. Until this date, customer purchases made via AmazonSmile will continue to accrue funds for your charity as normal. To help nonprofits like you plan ahead, we will also provide you with a one-time payment equivalent to three months of payments based on what you accrued in 2022 through this program. The timing of this final payment will be approximately 60 to 90 days after February 20, 2023. We hope that this will help minimize the impact that this decision might have.
