Dictionary Labeling Party

Thank you to President Steve, Erik Troy, Christopher Coleman, Moe Cougher and Pam Hughey for helping Monday put labels on 1008 dictionaries for area 3rd graders.  Extra thanks to Craig Denny for making the Foundation grant request and coordinating with the schools and dictionary supplier. Even with COVID-19, teachers were excited and committed to find a way to get the books to the kids. In a world of electronics, kids still enjoy having a real dictionary to call their own.  Please reach out to President Steve if you would like to lead this rewarding project next year.
Coats for Kids

THANK YOU to everyone for your generous coat donations.  We were able to donate 131 coats!!!

Weekly meetings

Last Friday President Steve announced that the Board of Directors have voted to continue to have weekly meetings via ZOOM until the end of December.  At that time they will consider how to move forward in 2021.

Global Grant Committee
Dalton Brunner is now at the helm of the Global Grant Committee. The committee continues to monitor progress of the Navajo Water Project Global Grant and looks forward to working with the Shawnee Tribe on a local Needs Assessment.  Contact Dalton if you would like to be involved in this committee, have a Global Grant idea or would simply like to sit in on one of the meetings. All are welcome.

Need a Make-Up?

When a member misses a meeting, there are several ways to make up for the absence:
  • Attend a Club function -- board meeting, committee meeting, project, Youth Exchange
  • Attend a District or International function -- Rotary Youth Exchange, PETs, District Conference
  • Online make-up - Rotary eclub One - go to www.rotaryeclubone.org
  • Attend another Rotary Club meeting
    • While out-of-town for vacation or business
    • In-town around the KC area
    • Download the app "Rotary Club Locator" and find a Rotary club anywhere in the world.
Rotarians can make up for an absence at their club meeting within the same Rotary year.  If a member attempts to make up at another club and that club either did not meet that week, or changed venues, the club member can let their club's secretary know the date and time of the attempted make-up and it will count as a makeup toward a missed meetings.  Make ups also qualify if you attend an eClub meeting.   Send all make-ups to our club secretary, Bill McCollum via email.
