Craig Jorgensen will be speaking to us on Friday about The First Tee of Greater Kansas City. The First Tee of Greater Kansas City is a youth development organization teaching young people positive values such as honesty, integrity, sportsmanship and confidence while using the game of golf as a tool. The First Tee lessons are taught at five area learning centers and through in-school programs.
Illness at Lakeview Village
There has been a GI-related illness going around at the different complexes at Lakeview Village this past week. Quite a few residents have become sick. The cafeteria and staff have been unaffected. The management at Lakeview Village requests that if you are experiencing any GI symptoms, or other flu-like illness, please stay home!

ShrimpFest 2016 - March 5th
Saturday is the Day! All hands on deck! In addition to our members, we will have volunteers from Kohl's, students from the Shawnee Mission Northwest Interact Club, and members of our Lenexa Rotary Community Corps.
Desserts - Each Member is required to bring at least two (2) desserts for the dessert table. They can be dropped off at the Lenexa Community Center on Saturday morning or afternoon. Cakes and pies are suggested, however cookies and brownies are also acceptable. A sign-up sheet will be going around at Friday's meeting.
Elisa Zöhrer Photography
At last week's meeting, our Austrian Exchange Student, Elisa Zöhrer, announced that she is selling photographs that she took at Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park over the holidays. She is raising money to help fund her trip to New York City in March and her trip around the U.S. in July.
She has six (6) photographs available for purchase. Sizes available are 4 X 6, 5 X 7, 8 X 10 and 11 X 17. The cost for the photographs: a donation to her trip -- no set cost. An email was sent to all the members this week showing all 6 photographs.
If you would like it framed, she will charge you what she pays for framing -- which she thinks will be approximately $20.

During the meeting if you think of some thing that you want to share, feel free to jot it down on the YPad -- a random thought, a suggestion, a compliment, an idea for a speaker, a joke, etc. Each week President Amy will pick up the YPads and report any messages in the newsletter and at the following meeting.

Read the instructions, and then access Security by arrowing up to the S’s, stop when on “Security” -- press the call button and Security will buzz you in after you state your name plus saying you are a Lenexa Rotarian.

Food service line opens at 11:45 a.m. For those who have business pressure they can arrive at 11:40 a.m. starting with salad, eat at 11:45 a.m. and be gone by 11:50 a.m. and still record for attendance. As you leave, be sure to check with the Secretary to ensure your attendance is recorded.
