Our speaker this Friday will be Michael Ashcraft, Johnson County Commissioner for the 5th District. He will be speaking to us about the Airport Shuttle.
Starting March 1, 2026, Johnson County is launching the free Johnson County United Airport Drop and Ride pilot program. The service will be daily shuttle transport (5 am - 11 am) ~ 25 minute frequency) between KCI Airport and two key hubs - Lenexa City Center and the Overland Park Convention Center - through November 2026.
President Steve received an email from Lakeview catering with some concerns regarding our Friday lunches.
Please remind the members to NOT enter the kitchen. The kitchen is an employee only area - there are wet floors, a lot of people working and moving quickly and is a liability if non-employees enter.
Members should NOT remove the chafing lids as they are hot and they could burn themselves. When all the food is out, the staff will remove the chafing lids to let you know the buffet is open.
Some members have requested soda with their lunch. Soda is NOT included in the price of our meal.
Pitch Lenexa is proud to host a series of free, independent community events during the 2026 World Cup. This initiative—organized by a coalition of eight Lenexa based companies, which includes Lenexa Rotary —is designed to bring people together, introduce the broader Kansas City community to Lenexa, and celebrate one of the world’s most iconic sporting events in an unforgettable way.
The event series will take place at Lenexa City Center, a vibrant 200-acre hub, conveniently located along Interstate 435 and sitting within a few miles of where I-35, I-435, U.S. 69, K-10 and K-7 meet. This exciting and walkable neighborhood combines shopping, restaurants, entertainment venues, offices, living options and hotels.

Beneath the deadpan back-and-forth of a seemingly typical city council board meeting lies the whiff of something distinctly sinister in Tracy Letts's new play The Minutes. Known for his keen ability to illustrate the faults and cracks under humanity's surface, Letts delivers an acutely thrilling new work that pulls you in with laughter before grabbing you by the throat.
Office Manager at Amos Family Funeral Home. Our establishment has been family-owned and operated for 80 years, making us the only funeral home in Johnson County to remain under the same family ownership since opening. We take great pride in this history of continuous service to our community
What is your favorite sports team and why?
I am a big fan of all the Kansas City sports teams, but the Kansas City Royals are definitely my favorite. Baseball is my favorite sport; in fact, my husband and I have visited all 30 Major League Baseball stadiums with our two children, and we make it a point to return whenever a new stadium is built
What is your favorite vacation destination, and why?
I love to travel and have visited all 50 states as well as several European countries. Despite my extensive travels, New England remains my favorite vacation destination
What is your ideal sandwich?
Warm Pastrami and provolone on an onion roll
If you are at a trivia night, what category would you know most about?
I really enjoy trivia contests. While I mostly rely on my husband and the rest of the team, my personal strengths are music and general random trivia
