Our speaker this Friday will be Cyndi White, with Project 1020.
Project 10❤️20 is Johnson County’s only no barrier shelter and case management service for adults who are experiencing homelessness. They provide transportation to and from the shelter, a hot evening meal, and a grab-and-go breakfast in the morning. It is a safe place to sleep and to receive care, compassion, and support.
They believe in loving our neighbors. That means helping human beings to live with dignity. No matter their situation, people deserve to have the most basic needs of shelter and food met.
They are located at 9400 Pflumm, in Lenexa, on the south wing of Shawnee Mission Unitarian Universalist Church. Hours are from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. from December 1st through March 31st.

President Steve and the Board are proposing a change to our club Bylaws. The procedure is to run the proposed change in the weekly newsletter for two weeks and then we will have a Club vote at a weekly meeting. The Bylaws presently read regarding Corporate members:
Article 10 Method of Approving Members
Section 1 –The Rotary Club of Lenexa shall offer four (4) membership types: Active, Honorary, Partner and Corporate. A Corporate member shall consist of a Primary Member and up to two additional named members from the Primary Member’s same organization at the same location.
The Board proposes that we eliminate "and up to two additional named members" from the wording. The Board would like to leave it open and not include a specific number.
If you have any questions or comments please contact President Steve Adams at SOAdams@aol.com
We have reached our goal! We will be scheduling a date in the near future for our members to build hygiene kits at Heart-to-Heart International. Thank you!
