This Friday, our program will be Trey Meyer, with Johnson County 3 & 2 Baseball.

Trey is originally from Liberal, Kansas. He attended the University of Kansas and KU School of Law and was a trial attorney for 15 years. Since 2014, he has worked in the non-profit and education sectors. Sports have played a very meaningful role in his life, first as a student-athlete and now as a sports official and administrator. He has been a baseball umpire for 30 years and currently officiates three high school varsity sports (football, basketball, baseball). He started as the umpire supervisor at 3&2 Baseball of Johnson County in March of 2023. In that capacity, he supervises a staff of about 370 umpires who work about 11,000 games every year on our 27 fields.

RYLA - June 4-8

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA)

University of Kansas, Lawrence
June 4-8, 2023

**Please pass along this information to any high school student that would be interested**

There are several past participants of this program that stated their experience was life-changing and made them more aware of their capabilities. It is common to see a student become emotional when talking about their experience with RYLA. For many students, this is their first exposure to Rotary and what we, as Rotarians, can accomplish. The projects and exercises in this five-day camp are designed to get the students to think differently about certain situations and develop their own solutions with fellow students they may have not met before attending the camp. Many students worldwide, who have attended RYLA, have continued on to become members of an Interact, Rotaract, and eventually a Rotary club.

The University of Kansas in Lawrence will once again host District 5710's Rotary Youth Leadership Academy (RYLA).
