What is/was your job or profession?
I’ve been retired for three years. My professional career was as a commercial bank, lender, making equipment, real estate, and working capital loans mostly to midsize companies in the Midwest. It was exciting! In the last years of my career, I was an executive officer of a $1 billion local bank involved in policy creation, product development, and long range strategic planning. That was boring!
What is your favorite sports team and why?
My favorite sports team is not a team but an individual. I’ve been a lifelong cyclist and closely follow International cycling tours, such as the Tour de France, Giro d’Italia & Vuelta a Espana. My favorite cyclist is Tadej Pogacar, a Slovenian, who at 27 years old is generally considered to be the greatest cycle of all time. He’s better than that cheater Lance Armstrong ever was!
What is your favorite vacation destination, and why?
My favorite vacation destination is anyplace tropical such as USVI or the island of Kauai in Hawaii. Growing up in the Midwest, I’ve always been thousands of miles from the beach in a climate where it’s either hot or cold 70% of the time
What is your ideal sandwich?
My ideal sandwich is a club sandwich with lots of extra turkey ham and of course, bacon
If you are at a trivia night, what category would you know most about?
I’m not very good at trivia. I have broad knowledge of many subjects, but generally very shallow in terms of details
