We will be building a ramp with Hopebuilders this Saturday, September 18. The address for the ramp build is 45 Southwest Drive, Bonner Springs, Kansas. This is a mobile home community. The resident of the home is 75 years old and is confined to a wheelchair and has adopted two grandchildren, ages 11 and 15.
Arrival time is 8:30 a.m. The existing porch will need to be razed and enlarged, then a 49" ramp built to the sidewalk.
All members are welcome to participate, as well as your partners, kids, grandkids, and anyone else you can drag with you. It’s a very rewarding experience. If you are interested, please contact Greg Peterson.
It is that time of year again -- our annual Beer Can Collection!

Drink the beer
Rinse out and dry the beer can
Fill the can with coins, dollar bills or a check (made payable to the Lenexa Rotary Foundation)
Write you name on the can
Return to Fred Spears and he will give you another beer

To date, we know the majority of Clubs in District 5710 have indicated they will work to meet their goal of $50 per member: As a Bonus, District 5710 has committed $4,000 to help fund this effort.
Rotary is working with the County to develop a permanent signage/recognition element for the Tree Grove to memorialize this Rotary gift to the people of Johnson county - hopefully listing the participating clubs.
The current February membership count of the Johnson County Clubs is 587 Rotarians. At $50 per member, the District could easily reach a total of $29,350. There will be a prize for the club with the most significant percentage over their goal. The Lenexa Rotary Foundation has pledged $1000 but is requesting a $50 donations from all members. All contributions from club members are voluntary. It is our hope that we will reach the $50 goal.
Please make your check out to "The Lenexa Rotary Foundation" and send your check to:
