This Friday our speaker will be Dr. Gary Morsch, Founder and Executive Chairman of Global Care Force.

In 2020, Dr. Gary Morsch founded COVID Care Force in response to the global coronavirus pandemic. He mobilized volunteer medical professionals to areas with critical staffing shortages due to COVID-19 to support frontline workers.

The pandemic put a strain on healthcare systems across the globe and highlighted inequities. Every day, a disproportionate amount of communities struggle to provide adequate care to patients. These communities asked Dr. Morsch not to forget about them once COVID was under control. He vowed not to forget them, and in 2022, COVID Care Force evolved into Global Care Force.

Dr. Morsch envisions Global Care Force as a bridge to providing high-quality medical care in under-resourced communities. Global Care Force continues the mission of COVID Care Force to send skilled and compassionate medical volunteers where they are needed. GCF volunteers are committed to doing whatever it takes to make life better for those in need. In the process, they experience transformation in their own lives through volunteering and service to others.

LAST DAY TO BRING IN YOUR TOWELS!  We are collecting towels in JANUARY for the Great Plains Animal Shelter where they use them for bedding, toys and to clean the animals.

Please bring your old (clean) towels this Friday.  There will be a bin on the first floor of Lakeview Village-Southridge next to the sliding door and front desk.  Please put them there and do not bring them up to our meeting room.

California Wildfires-How You Can Help

From District Governor Tamara Jo Sevcik --

I have had a couple of questions regarding donations in support of the wildfire destruction in California and where clubs/Rotarians might go to make a donation in support of the efforts to help folks that have been affected by these terribly dangerous wildfires.

District 5280 in Los Angeles, California, has established a Wildfire Disaster Relief Fund; if you and/or your club is interested in making a donation, you may do so at the following link:

District 5300 in Southern Nevada/South-Central California has also established a Wildfire Disaster Relief Fund; their link for donations is as follows:
