Our speaker this Friday will be Chris Kuehl, Ph.D., Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Armada Corp Intelligence.

Dr. Chris Kuehl serves as Armada’s Chief Economist working with a wide variety of private clients and professional associations over the last 21 years. He serves as the Chief Economist for several national business associations. He is also the Economic Analyst for the Fabricators and Manufacturers Association and writes their bi-weekly publication, Fabrinomics, which details the impact of economic trends on manufacturers.

Chris is one of the chief editors for the Armada Flagship Brief, which hits several thousand business executives three times a week.

Chris has a doctorate in Political Economics and advanced degrees in Soviet Studies and Asian Studies and was a professor of international economics and finance for over 15 years prior to starting Armada.

Change to Bylaws

President Steve and the Board are proposing a change to our club Bylaws. The procedure is to run the proposed change in the weekly newsletter for two weeks and then we will have a Club vote at a weekly meeting. The Bylaws presently read regarding Corporate members:

Article 10 Method of Approving Members

Section 1 –The Rotary Club of Lenexa shall offer four (4) membership types: Active, Honorary, Partner and Corporate. A Corporate member shall consist of a Primary Member and up to two additional named members from the Primary Member’s same organization at the same location.

The Board proposes that we eliminate "and up to two additional named members" from the wording. The Board would like to leave it open and not include a specific number.

What is/was your job or profession?

I recently retired after 30 years as a geotechnical and construction materials consultant with local firms

What is your favorite sports team and why?

My favorite sports team is the Penn State Nittany lions football team. My Grandmother was from Lancaster, Pennsylvania and I was inundated with Penn State as I was growing up.

What is your favorite vacation destination, and why?

My dream vacation is to spend time in Iceland to see the Northern Lights

What is your ideal sandwich?

I like Italian subs and my favorite is one with marinara and mozzarella from old Shawnee Pizza

If you are at a trivia night, what category would you know most about?

Sports and 80’s Sitcoms are my trivia strengths
