Our program this Friday will be Major Dawn Layman with the Lenexa Police Department. She will be talking to us about the National Association of Women Law Enforcement Executives.
The National Association of Women Law Enforcement Executives (NAWLEE) is the first organization established to address the unique needs of women holding senior management positions in law enforcement. NAWLEE is a non-profit organization sponsored and administered directly by law enforcement practitioners. Our mission is to serve and further the interests of women executives and those who aspire to be executives in law enforcement.
A HUGE THANK YOU to all the Lenexa Rotarians who helped assemble Hygiene Kits for Heart to Heart International last Thursday. The Hygiene Kits were sent to Texas to help victims of Hurricane Harvey. Also thank you to Rotarians from Shawnee, Shawnee Mission, and other clubs in Rotary District 5710, PLUS members of our Interact Club from Shawnee Mission Northwest High School.
Additionally, District Governor Adam Ehlert asked each club to donate at least $5.00 per member to go towards relief efforts. To date Lenexa Rotary has collected $1,114.00! We are still collecting money. If you want to donate, please give your money to Phil Hammond or Alan Kruckmyer. THANK YOU LENEXA ROTARIANS!!
