What is/was your job or profession?
I am a retired physician. I started in anesthesiology but quickly realized that I want to know the patient and how that patient’s journey progressed. I studied Family Medicine, became board certified in Geriatrics and practiced for 22 years with a small group of primary care physicians in Leavenworth, Kansas. I became interested in academic medicine when working with medical students in my office. I joined the faculty of the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio eventually becoming the Chief of Geriatrics and Vice Chair of the department and retired there after 25 years
What is your favorite sports team(s) and why?
I am a huge Chiefs fan, and love Kelce and Mahomes
What is your favorite vacation destination, and why?
Santa Fe, New Mexico has some of the best weather and fine restaurants
What is your ideal sandwich?
A good BLT always great especially with fresh tomatoes
If you are at a trivia night, what category would you know most about?
The only thing I am good at are medical questions
