Rotary Youth Exchange
School Year 2024-2025

Lenexa Rotary will be welcoming a new Rotary Youth Exchange Student for the coming school year.  She is a girl from Chile and will be attending Mill Valley High School in Shawnee.

We have one host family and are still looking for two (2) more host families for the school year.  Please seriously consider being a host family and ask your family and friends if they would like to be a part of this wonderful experience.

Andy Prosser

What is your occupation?

Owner of Prosser Wilbert Construction, Inc., a general contractor/construction manager, located in Lenexa for 20 years

What was your first job?

Working for a farmer as a teenager, it was very hard work, but fun and challenging!

What is your favorite hobby or pastime?

Traveling with my wife and experiencing new places, people and things to do

Where did you grow up and what was it like?

Born in Hoisington, Kansas, and grew up for most of my younger years in Ellinwood, in central Kansas. It was great, I lived a few miles outside the town on a farm and the Arkansas River flowed nearby. So, it was lots of fun inviting my buddies over for stayovers and going for horse rides, camping, fishing, and hunting! They all loved it!

What is a favorite movie you always recommend to people?  Why do you love it?

Of course, “A River Runs Through It” and it’s a great book as well! It reminds me of some boyhood experiences

If you were coming out onto a stage, what would your entrance theme song be?

Rocky, I just like the underdog and overcoming all the odds

What is your favorite type of cuisine to cook or eat?

Lately, its been KC Tai near 135th & Quivira - I would recommend it
