This Friday's program will be the Top 3 Finalists for the Wes Fry 4 Way Test Speech Contest. Preliminary rounds were conducted Monday and Tuesday of this week and narrowed down to the 3 contestants who will be giving their speeches to the Club this Friday.
College scholarships are given to all three: 1st Place - $2,000; 2nd Place - $1,500; 3rd Place - $1,000.
Johnson County Christmas Bureau
The Johnson County Christmas Bureau is one of the charities in which Lenexa Rotary is committed to and supports in many ways.
Toy Donation - THANK YOU to all who donated toys for children between the ages of 6 months to 4 years. You can still bring toy donations this week.
Holiday Shop volunteers - Lenexa Rotary will be volunteering to help in the Holiday Shop on Friday, December 11th from 2:30 - 6:30 p.m. If you want to volunteer, put your name on the YPad this Friday or contact President Amy or Becca Coleman. This Year's Holiday Shop is at Metcalf South Shopping Center on the lower level. Enter through the doors on the west side between Macy's and Sears.
Coat Donations from KMBZ Coats for Kids - Lenexa Rotary plus other Johnson County Rotary Clubs came together this year to help with the KMBZ Coats for Kids. Because of Lenexa Rotary's efforts and persistence, KMBZ Coats for Kids changed their coat distribution to include JCCB. This week JCCB received a delivery of 300+ coats with an additional coat delivery scheduled for early next week.
Cash Donation - Each year The Lenexa Rotary Foundation makes a cash donation to JCCB.

ONE MORE WEEK TO TURN IN MONEY! Drink up and bring your cans filled up with coins or a check and give to Fred Spears! We have been contacted by Baylee DeLaurier, the Kansas City Program Manager for Stop Hunger Now to set up a date to package meals with the Shawnee Mission Northwest Interact Club. It will be probably be some time in the winter. More information to come!
Member Survey
A few months ago, President Amy sent out a Member Survey for all the members to complete electronically. THANK YOU to everyone who participated -- 32 members out of 38 completed the survey!
President Amy will be sending out this week the results of the Member Survey in a separate email. In January we will be having a Club Assembly to discuss the survey and get feedback from the members.

ShrimpFest 2016 - March 5th
ShrimpFest is 3 months away! J.C. Burcham has or will be contacting all the committee chairs from last year to see if you will help again this year. Phil Hammond is beginning to contact companies for sponsorships.

During the meeting if you think of some thing that you want to share, feel free to jot it down on the YPad -- a random thought, a suggestion, a compliment, an idea for a speaker, a joke, etc. Each week President Amy will pick up the YPads and report any messages in the newsletter and at the following meeting.
