What books have had a big impact on you?
Reading and audio books are among my favorite activities. In addition to reading biographies and autobiographies, I am a huge fan of history and historical fiction, especially James A. Michener’s many books
What activities were you involved in high school and college?
High school – Football, Track, Key Club.
College – Graduating with at least a 3.0 GPA (mandated by my Mom!), Fraternity, sports, and wooing Betty to marry me!
What is your favorite board game, and do you usually win?
I don’t enjoy board games. I have only recently started playing card games not requiring great skill or concentration. Could care less about winning…
What is the worst movie you have ever seen and who did you see it with?
House on the Haunted Hill – at the age of 8 it scared the heck out me and I slept with my hunting knife for weeks afterward – which also suggests my lack of judgement! Still will not watch horror movies!
What pets have you had and what were/are their names?
Trixie – Schnauzer mix
Spanky – Pekingese and Poodle mix
Sir Sparkles of Wade Court (AKA Sparky) – Poodle and European traveler
Cheyenne the Wonder Dog – Lab mix who loved us but was very protective - liked to bite our daughters’ friends on the butt
Austin – Shepard/Chow mix…honor graduate from doggie boot camp
Maizie – Golden Retriever…will do anything for treats, and truly our Golden Girl
What is your most prized or sentimental possession? Explain.
A battery-powered Army tank Santa brought me when I was 8. I still have it and must protect it every time I’m told to purge the basement!
