What was your first job?
Working in my dad’s dental office at 9430 Gillette in Lenexa during school breaks. I filed, did bookkeeping, made appointments, even developed dental x-rays
What is your favorite hobby or pastime?
Just about anything outdoors, whether it’s puttering in the yard, bird-watching, hitting the trails, you name it
Where did you grow up and what was it like?
I primarily grew up in Louisburg, Kansas, and it was great. All the wonderful things about a small town – I played all the sports and did all the school extracurriculars -- but still close enough to enjoy all the big city amenities
What is a favorite movie you always recommend to people? Why do you love it?
Apollo 13 – it’s a great intersection of historical fact, science, and entertainment, which are all things I love. Not long ago I visited Space Center Houston and got to see the original Mission Control, and I nearly lost my mind
If you were coming out onto a stage, what would your entrance theme song be?
Maybe T.N.T by AC/DC? My energy and drive can sometimes be a lot to take
What is your favorite type of cuisine to cook or eat?
When I want to treat myself, I will go for Thai food!
