Our speaker will be Lauren Proehl, a Senior Manager for Global Cyber Defense. Lauren Proehl is an ambitious, results-driven incident responder and threat hunter with experience in developing and implementing security solutions. She is working to solve interesting problems through leadership, intelligence sharing, and data analysis.

Human Trafficking "Rotary Cares Kits"

**Help Needed**

As you know we are part of a District Grant that will provide "Rotary Cares Kits" to 114 human trafficking victims . The kits will be provided to district support groups for distribution.

On January 13, each Rotarian should bring to our meeting:

- Tube of tooth paste (standard size) and/or

- Toothbrush

Steve Nettles is the person in our club heading this effort. He hopes that each member can contribute one set of the requested items each week. The picture above describes the items that will be in each kit. Steve will update us weekly on the next items that will be requested.

Below is a list of Committee Chairs. If you are not yet on a committee, please reach out to a committee chair. Additionally, we will need EVERYONE there the night of the event to help.

Tickets: Tickets will be distributed to Lenexa Rotarians THIS FRIDAY. Each Rotarian is required to purchase/sell 10 tickets @ $30 each for a total of $300. There is a prize given to the member who sells the most tickets.

There are sponsor brochures available at the Check-In Table. Included as one of the sponsor categories is a "Family Sponsor" for $100. The cost is $100 PLUS the cost of the ticket for each family member at home or two couples. It also includes a 5:00 early entry ticket.

Desserts: Amy Ruo, Chair. Each Rotarian is required to provide two (2) desserts the night of the event. Cake, pie, cookies, brownies.

When did you join Rotary: November 1980

Why did you join Rotary: I was a speaker and asked for donations for Lenexa Historical Society. I knew most of the members.

What Rotary offices have you held: Board Member, Vice President, President, Foundation Board, many Chairmen

What is your favorite Rotary memory or project? Our 50th Anniversary and all the research done for it.

When you are not working, how do you spend your time? Traveling with Jody and enjoying our Grandkids
