Are you looking for a way you can make a difference in someone's life?  The Topeka Day Center that serves victims of sex trafficking and sexual exploitation is needing items for those in need of something to keep them warm!  This Day Center was made possible from a Rotary Global Grant.  Women, girls, and young men who are victims of sex trafficking and sexual exploitation are suffering increased violence and abuse during these difficult times. Buyers and traffickers have not experienced a decrease in demand.  During the month of November, there were 56 total visits to the Day Center, which included 24 unique victims, 8 of which were new. In looking back, this was the highest usage since the Day Center was opened a year ago. Donations can be sent directly to YWCA Northeast Kansas225 W 12th Street, Topeka, KS 66612, attention Christina Chavez.  Or you can drop them off at Lenet's and she will make a run to Topeka after the first of the year.

Survival Blankets - These are $1.99 at Dick's Sporting Goods, they retain the heat better than fleece.
Sweatshirts  - Any hooded pull-over sweatshirt, dark colors preferred, really need 2XL and 3XL, some XL.  This is very important because people being trafficked don't want to stand out - hence the dark color.  They also want to hide - hence the large size request.
Hand and toe warmers   - These are great for victims who have no shelter or are forced to walk in the cold.
