ShrimpFest 2019 is March 2nd -- but it is never too early to start planning!
Each year the President-Elect is the General Chair of ShrimpFest. Last week President-Elect Lenet Compton did a presentation and had the committee chairs come forward, and also indicated that a couple of the committee chairs would like to have a different Rotarian take over the committee next year. Below is a list of the committee chairs:
General Chair - Lenet Compton
Food Purchase & Preparation - Pat Thomas
Ticket Sales - Pete Black
Publicity - Phil Hammond
Cash Management - Andy Hoedl
Food Service - Erik Troy
Non-Alcoholic Beverage - Jerry Bowmer
Alcoholic Beverages - Marshall Rimann
Bingo - Moe Cougher BLUE DOT
Silent Auction & Prizes - Fred Spears BLUE DOT
Corporate Sponsorship - Phil Hammond
Business of the Year - Phil Hammond
Desserts - Amy Ruo
Pull Tabs - Rick Morton
Traffic Flow Director - Matt Janes
Decorations - NEED
Clean-Up - NEED
Lenet is looking for:
- BLUE DOT - A member to shadow Moe and another to shadow Fred this year with the understanding they will lead those committees in 2020;
- A chairperson for Decorations and Clean-Up; and
- Each committee chair to look at how they can reduce the cost in their area.
Lenet will reach out to committee chairs no later than October with information on their past expenses, listen to their ideas on cost reduction and offer a proposed budget. The main themes for ShrimpFest 2019 are sustainable/environmentally friendly and revenue increase for programs with a ticket price increase. We are at building capacity so we cannot increase sales, therefore, we are looking to decrease cost.
