VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Greater Kansas City Day 2022 in partnership with the Kansas City Monarchs will be another day to remember! Be a part of the excitement by helping disabled and disadvantaged children in the community enjoy the experience of the Rotary Youth Camp!
Volunteers will be selling Monarchs Caps + Two (2) ticket vouchers for $20 throughout the Greater Kansas City area on Friday, May 13th - the Home Opener against the Sioux City Explorers.
Lenexa Rotary needs about 10 volunteers to sell for 2-3 hour shifts at locations and days to be determined. Please contact Steve Nettles if you are interested. More information at Friday's meeting.
Imagine a place where a disadvantaged or disabled child can go to get away - to escape, even for a short while - where you're free to be yourself, unconstrained, unabashed, and unafraid.
That is the Rotary Youth Camp. For nearly a century, the camp has provided a quality camp experience to disadvantaged and disabled youth of Greater Kansas City. The goal is to create life-changing moments for these young campers. They need a place to grow, play, and laugh while enjoying nature.
That is why, with the support of donors and community partners, the 40-acre Rotary Youth Camp welcomes nonprofit groups to host camps free of charge, regardless of race, income, age, gender, or disability. The camp changes lives one camper, one parent, and one volunteer at a time. Your sponsorship will help to ensure that nearly 4,000 Kansas City youth each year experience camp.
