On May 8, 1907, Lenexa was officially incorporated!
Originally platted in 1869 by civil engineer Octave Chanute on 42 acres, Lenexa has grown to become the vibrant, thriving city we know today!
The original town site, or “Old Town,” is still a vital part of the community. Many of the buildings on the main strip on what is now Santa Fe Trail Drive have been around for more than 100 years.
