Speaker will be Lenexa Rotarian Phil Hammond.  Phil is past and current President of the Lenexa Historical Society.  Phil was instrumental in the reconstruction of the Lenexa Bandstand and the Legler Barn Museum.  Phil along with Lenexa Rotary is currently working on an Interpretive Sign at Wells Fargo, showing the original location of the Legler Barn, location of the Legler Barn Museum and the Santa Fe/Oregon/California/Military Trails crossing at 95th & Quivira Rd.  Phil along with Lenexa Rotary is also working on a mural in Rosehill Elementary showing where the trails came through the school.  Phil was given access to a diary and gives presentations of Lenexa's First Lady Nancy Becker's great-great uncle William Gordon covering the California Trail in 1850.  Phil is Vice President of KCAHTA and a member of Shawnee Indian Mission Historical Society.
